Prof Allen Cheuk-Seng Cheng
AC (MBBS, MPH, MBiostat, PhD,
FRACP) is an infectious diseases
physician and epidemiologist.
He is Director of Infectious
Diseases at Monash Health
and Professor of Infectious
Diseases Epidemiology at Monash
University. During the COVID-19
pandemic he was a key advisor
to the Federal Government and
the Victorian State Government,
including as Acting and Deputy
Chief Victorian Chief Health
Officer. In 2025 Allen was
awarded a Companion of the
Order of Australia (AC) for
eminent service to medicine as
an epidemiologist, to infectious
and communicable disease
research and education, and to
national and international
public health policy.
He was also added to the
COVID-19 Honour Roll.
